Christmas Presents Appeal
Help us to bring smiles to local children stuck in hospital this Christmas time
2022 Christmas Appeal – Coming Soon!
Thank you for your interest in our Christmas Appeal. Last year we received an overwhelming response to our appeal, working with a great range of companies and schools and gifted nearly 2,000 gifts to children in hospital over Christmas.
We are already making plans for our 2022 appeal and we will be launching officially in October 2022. If your school, college or workplace would like to help support a local poorly child with a gift, please message firstname.lastname@example.org and we can arrange to book you in to drop your gifts to our offices in Halifax between November and Early December.
2022 Christmas Appeal
There is nothing worse for a child that being stuck in hospital over the Christmas period, so together with Santa Blake we host a grotto experience at Calderdale. Santa will read a story to the children on the ward, tell an exciting tale of how he has to hide the keys to the cookie cupboard from Mrs Claus! and the see each child individually for a photo opportunity and a gift. Any child in isolation will be also given the opportunity to see Santa in a socially distanced way too!
At other hospitals in the region we are also very pleased to continue our annual present drops to ensure no child in hospital wakes up without a present on Christmas morning.
You can help by donating one or more gifts to our appeal! We ask that all gifts are supplied, new and unwrapped (and under £15 in value) so we can check and allocate them to the children on the wards of the following local hospitals:
Bradford Royal Infirmary
Leeds Children’s Hospital Cancer Ward/Teenage Cancer Unit
and to children staying at Eckersley House too!
Why not help our Christmas Appeal through your workplace, school or college?

We could not have managed to provide this service without the help and support from local people, schools, colleges and businesses, so we would like to thank each and every one of you for your continued support to our appeal. You have all helped to bring a smile to a child stuck in hospital over Christmas time.
Can I donate actual gifts this year?
We want to help you remain safe as well as the children on the hospital wards and us too! For this reason, we are working a little differently this year and ask if you wish to collect gifts for our appeal, you please let us know by emailing email@example.com so we can book you into a slot for us to safely collect the gifts from your workplace, or for you to drop them into the charity. (Please note: we do prefer that gifts are dropped to our offices in Halifax).
