Please check back next year to support our appeal

There is nothing worse for a child that being stuck in hospital over the Christmas period, so together with Santa Blake we host a grotto experience at Calderdale. Santa will read a story to the children on the ward, tell an exciting tale of how he has to hide the keys to the cookie cupboard from Mrs Claus! and the see each child individually for a photo opportunity and a gift. Any child in isolation will be also given the opportunity to see Santa in a socially distanced way too!
At other hospitals in the region we are also very pleased to continue our annual present drops to ensure no child in hospital wakes up without a present on Christmas morning.
You can help by donating one or more gifts to our appeal! We ask that all gifts are supplied, new and unwrapped (and under £15 in value) so we can check and allocate them to the children on the wards of the following local hospitals:
Calderdale Hospital
Bradford Royal Infirmary
Leeds Children’s Hospital Cancer Ward/Teenage Cancer Unit
Airedale Hospital
Dewsbury Hospital
Pinderfields Hospital
and to children staying at Eckersley House too!

Don’t forget to book in your delivery slot!

Gift Criteria
For health and safety and to allow our annual scheme to run smoothly, we do have a few criteria for the donated gifts:
– Gifts should be new and in original packaging
– Gifts should not be unduly large or heavy
– We recommend the maximum gift value is £15
– Gifts can be for boys or girls and from birth to teenagers
– Gifts should not cause any offense, so sadly no toy guns or religious items
– Due to allergies, we cannot gift chocolates or selection boxes
– Gifts should be unwrapped so our helpers can check, wrap and allocate them to a local hospital.
