I had the real pleasure of meeting the team at Cosmos Solutions in Shipley yesterday to talk about the amazing work we do to support children across the region with our four themes of support and how we started back in 2011 to help fill in the gap in support families were facing when they faced the long term challenges of having a child diagnosed with cancer or other long term illness. In my own particular case we had to fund a wheelchair for our daughter when she first came out of hospital.
We are excited to learn that not only are the team wanting to have Yorkshire Children’s Trust as their charity of the year, but they’ve set a goal of raising a truly amazing £18,000 throughout the year through a series of events and challenges including the Three Peaks Challenge, a golf day and in office fundraising. They’re even becoming a clothing collection hub to help promote our green recycling initiatives too.
