Our Easter Appeal is well underway. This year we are not asking for chocolate eggs to be donated, but the cash equivalent to be pledged to our JustGiving page as we take on the challenge of helping to support the mental health of children in hospital over the next few weeks.
Simon, our founder was interviewed on BBC Radio Leeds on Monday this week, where he discussed how the pandemic has had a profound effect on children, especially those with additional needs. Children in hospital are still very much isolating from others on the wards for their protection and the monotony and prolonged treatment regimes can really cause low mood, anxiety and depression. Here Yorkshire Children’s Trust step in with funds to help with tailored packs of activities, arts and crafts to help break up the long lonely hours and bring a little happiness and fun, whilst promoting positive mental health.
We have received a massive pledge of £500 from the Bearder Charity who really understand the needs of children in the community and are helping us with our challenge this Easter. We would like to thank them for this wonderful donation and their continued support of Yorkshire Children’s Trust.
If your school, college or workplace would like to pledge their support to our Easter Campaign this year, please visit our dedicated JustGiving page at www.justgiving.com/campaign/easter2022 – If you would also like to drop an email to charity@yctrust.uk with details of your pledge and we will give you a shoutout on our website and social media too.
