At the start of this, the third lockdown we immediately stopped all house to house clothing collections with our clothing collection partner, Unicare. This was to ensure the safety of members of the public as well as our team members; this also gave us time to look into the legislation and how we can ensure we can continue to work in a safe way.
On our behalf, Unicare will start dropping off our clothing collection bags from tomorrow, with pick-ups starting on Monday of next week. Our commercial partner team members will continue to wear PPE and will have no interaction with members of the public. We ask that if you wish to support us with a donation, please leave any bags of clothing at the edge of your property on your collection day as notified on your collection bag.
We totally understand and accept that not everyone will be happy with our decision and not everyone will want to receive one of our collection bags. We offer a no-quibble ‘do not contact list’, please just drop the recycling team a quick email to support@unicaremail.co.uk or call 0333 66 66 777 with your house number and postcode and you will be removed from our maps.
For more information on our house to house clothing collections, please look at our dedicated page. If you have 10 or more bags of clothing, we can also arrange a one-off special collection, please contact us for more details.
