Its Shrove Tuesday, a traditional feast day before the start of Lent. But to most people it is known as Pancake Day! A traditional English pancake is very thin and served immediately. But the biggest question, is how do you have yours?
Do you prefer a simple squeeze of lemon, or a dusting of sugar or a dollop of golden syrup? Or do you prefer a savoury filling such as ham and cheese or something else? Personally, my favourite topping is slices of banana and maple syrup.
We’ve had a terrible few months, so this is a great opportunity to spend some time together as a family. Who can toss the highest pancake? Who can come up with the most original filling?
