Its always fabulous to hear about new and great ways that supporters raise funds for Yorkshire Children’s Trust. We were recently contacted by local artist, Steve Woods who has decided to donate 50% of his profits to support sick and children in the Yorkshire region.
Steve had this to say:
“I started painting in 2018 as a hobby after retiring. After visiting some Craft Fairs I decided to try and sell them to help pay for more materials. I now attend Dewsbury Market each Wednesday Pontefract the 1st Friday of every month and Morley Town Hall each month.”
“It’s nice to know some people appreciate your work. This got me thinking of how I could help and show my appreciation of someone else’s work. So I started to think about donating 50% of whatever I sell to a worthwhile charity. There are many that are worthwhile but after reading the work that Yorkshire Children’s Trust do I decided they were the organisation I would like help.”
“I have been fortunate enough not to have to go through the traumas of the people the Trust helps, having 3 healthy children and 5 grandchildren but it is heart-warming to know that help is there for when it is required. The dedication that the staff have within the Trust needs support I only hope that I can help even in a small way.”
Attached are some of the fantastic pictures that Steve has painted, please visit his Facebook page for more details and to buy some of the artwork today!
