This week is a special week in the calendar, its Small Charity Week 2020. Its a time for smaller charities in the UK to have a platform to showcase their great work when normally they struggle to get heard over the larger national charities.
In the UK there are over 168,000 charities, and of these 75% are considered small. However, these 75% only receive on average 3% of all charitable income generated.*
This week as part of this special week, we had the pleasure of being interview by Nick from the Social Responsibility website. This great resource, helps to match local companies with local charities. We were able to discuss how Yorkshire Children’s Trust was founded, the support we offer to some of the most vulnerable children in the local community and how we have faced a double whammy of problems caused by Brexit and Coronavirus.

If you would like to support a local charity, now has never been a better time to support Yorkshire Children’s Trust. Despite a downturn in donations and the cancellation of all of our charity events because of the pandemic, we are working harder than ever to support families. 100% of every donation is used to offer this support, so please dig deep and support a truly local charity.
