Many people do not realise that Yorkshire Children’s Trust is a very small charity and the majority of the team are volunteers giving up their time to support some of the most vulnerable children and their families in the Yorkshire region.
Despite working with some of the most needy families, and liaising with schools, social workers, and medical professionals, we do not receive any lottery, NHS or central government funding. So we need the help and support of local people and local business so we can continue to provide our essential services.
Today we had the pleasure of meeting Elisabeth from West End Golf Club and the team are not only going to support our work, but have pledged to do so for two years! This means a great deal to us, thank you!
Best of all, as a self-sufficient charity, raising funds from recycling to cover our core costs, every penny of every donation we receive is placed into an account that is used solely for the benefit of our service users.
