Hospital Stay Grant – Application Submitted
Your application for a Hospital Stay Grant has been submitted to the charity and the team will start work on processing the application in the next few days. You will receive an email with the outcome in due course.
Applications are processed by our in house charity social worker who will verify the information you have provided to make a recommendation to the charity Trustees who meet monthly to make the final decision on awards.

What will happen now?
We will collate the information you have sent us and check with the hospital to make sure your child is an in-patient or has a pre-planned visit.
I live outside Yorkshire, will be application be accepted?
We are a Yorkshire charity and prioritise applications from families that reside in the Yorkshire region, but we will consider applications on their merit from families that reside in other regions in the North of England.
Do I need to send any information to verify my application?
No, we process applications for Hospital Grants electronically and are able to verify information directly with hospitals so there is no need to send any further documents or letters to us.
Can I apply more than once for a grant?
We are happy to consider further applications for hospital grants after a period of 12 months from the initial successful award.
How long will the application take?
We appreciate the urgent needs of families with children in hospital and we prioritise hospital grants over our 50:50 grants. Applications are approved by the Trustees of the charity on their monthly meetings and payments are usually made fairly quickly after acceptance.
Is it really guaranteed acceptance?
Subject to our usual checks, and if you reside in our catchment area and if you have a child that has been in hospital for at least 8 days or has a pre-planned hospital stay likely to be in excess of a week an application will usually be approved. Our Trustees do reserve the right to decline any application.
