It is with a heavy heart that for the first time since the charity has started we have to cancel our Easter Appeal.

We have monitored the situation carefully over the last few days and have spoken to some of the hospitals who have advised us that they’re limiting contact on the wards and it’s unlikely they can accept our gifts at this time.

Our initial idea was to keep the eggs kindly donated and gift them to the hospitals after the worst blows over. However, the latest projections from the Government show that this could be months away and we do not have the space to store the eggs safely for many months.

We do understand and appreciate that people and businesses have taken the time to collect eggs for us, the ones we have already collected will be used to support some of our direct service users.

Sadly, we will not be in a position to collect any more as we are dealing with children with little or no immune system and have we have to limited social contact as much as possible. I am sorry if this news causes any upset to our partners and supporters.

We are living in very difficult times at the moment and face a great amount of uncertainty. If any of our supporters would like to help in other ways, we would very much welcome a financial donation to allow us to continue to work with some of the most vulnerable families across the region throughout these uncertain times.
